Hi, I’m Bob Perry.
I’ve made my living as a tactical jet pilot in the military and commercial airline Captain. But my passion is to understand, articulate, and defend my Christian convictions. I want to help you do the same.
I combine my vocation and my passion to look at the world from 35,000 feet. Here’s what I mean …
I don’t get down in the weeds. I don’t think you want to do that either.
Many Christian apologists (defenders of the faith) pride themselves in being able to argue the tiny details of topics that seekers and nominal Christians know nothing about. It’s important that we have folks who do that. But I’m not one of them. Instead, I try to look at the “big picture.”
- How do the most important ideas in life fit together?
- How does Christianity measure up against the scientific, philosophical, historical, and ethical issues we face in the culture?
- How can thinking Christians engage that culture with truth and grace.
These are the kinds of questions I can help you answer. And here’s why I do it.
You don’t have to be an expert theologian to have confidence in your faith.
When you understand the “big picture,” it’s easy to see that what you claim to believe is coherent with the way the world works.
When you see how ideas fits together, you have more confidence in defending your convictions.
When you can defend your convictions, you can pass them on to your kids.
